About Us

The Cheesecake Burlesque Revue Shop came to be when the Canadian burlesque troupe of the same name, formed in 2006. As The Cheesecakes’ humourous and light hearted group numbers and solos emerged so did the whimsical and imaginative styling of their costumes. The Cheesecakes fell passionately in love with the signature burlesque accessory known as the nipple tassel or pasty. Upon attending many festivals and conducting research online, they noticed a large niche in this area. Many available styles were limited to classic and simple designs and did not include the necessary supplies or instruction. In February 2008, after many on stage tests and meticulous refinements, The Cheesecake Burlesque Revue’s brand of pasties and nipple tassels were ready to be sold to a global audience on Etsy.com. With its gentle double sided tape, tassel twirling tricks, application tips and Cheesecake Collector Card, The Nipple Tassel Kit became the product’s main incentive as clients were inspired and prepared to create their own spotlight without the wait or wonder. Since its inception, The Cheesecake Burlesque Revue Shop has maintained its 100% positive feedback score among its hundreds of clients with over 150 designs to choose from.

Our Style & Inspiration

You won’t see our designs anywhere else. We know that confidence (especially sexual confidence) can come to people many different ways, and that is why our designs are so wide ranging. We incorporate humour, kitsch, retro, and classic styles into our lines. While some might want to titilate, others might want to parody. While some might want to exude glamour, others feel more comfortable in a silly skin.

Our clients are as diverse as the girls of The Cheesecake Burlesque Revue, and because of that we have what you want – what you really want.

Our Process

We are constantly looking for new trims, fabrics and designs. Handmade in a Vancouver studio, all of our nipple tassels receive the love and attention only a burlesque performer can give. With over 60 types of sequins, 100 types of fabrics, dozens of multi coloured tassels and charms, hundreds of accessories and metres upon metres of durable buckrum, there is no limit to creative possibilites.
