Cheesecake of the Month for February is Mz B Haven
How did you get your name?
Mz B Haven...this name suits my character TO A TEE! She likes to get up to no good, is always "dancing on the line" so to speak and promises to keep things edgy. She'd have it no other way.
What makes you unique as a performer?
Besides being the token "bad girl" of the group, I like to broaden my performance horizons using tools such as flags, Wings of Isis, hula hoop, a cute puppet named Genki and I sing!
I also tend to mimic well known pop culture in my acts, for the observant audience members to pick up on (ie Jessica Rabbit).
As a performer, what one item can you not live without?
Red lipstick and accompanying glitter...dire!
Where would you like to perform that you've not yet had the chance?
I would love to perform at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver backed with live band and circus performers. Being part of a large music festival line-up such as Shambhala would be great fun too...and attainable.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I am also the frontwoman (singer) in a live electro swing project called "Brass, Sass and Swing". Super fun and upbeat music.
